Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Liquor Vault, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.
Age Requirement
You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (21 in the United States, or the applicable minimum age elsewhere) to create an account or use Liquor Vault. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Liquor Vault only for its intended purpose — tracking spirit tastings, managing your collection, and engaging with the enthusiast community. You will not post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content. You will not attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorisation. You will not use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the service.
User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in the app, including tasting notes, ratings, and collection entries. By using the app you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide our services. We may use aggregated, anonymised data from user activity to improve our recommendations and community features.
Editorial Use of Public Entries
We publish articles on Liquor Vault about spirits, written from our catalogue and from what our community records. If you mark a journal entry as public, we may quote its written notes, cite its rating, and use photos you attached to it in those articles, which are published on the open web and can be found through search engines. Quotes are shown with your display name and a link to your profile.
This applies only to entries you have chosen to make public. Entries you keep private are never quoted or shown. If you make an entry private, edit it, or delete it, it will not be used in any article published afterwards — and if it already appears in a published article, contact us and we will remove it.
If you would prefer never to be quoted, tell us at support@liquorvault.site and we will exclude your account from editorial use entirely. This does not affect anything else about your account, and your entries stay visible in the community as normal.
Communications and Marketing
When you create an account or contact us, you agree that we may use the email address you provide to send transactional messages (account notifications, security alerts, password resets, support replies) and occasional marketing emails about Liquor Vault — new features and offers we think you’ll enjoy. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect transactional messages. We do not sell or share your email address with third-party advertisers.
Intellectual Property
The Liquor Vault application, including its design, features, and code, is our intellectual property. Ourspirits database is compiled from various sources and is provided for informational purposes. Spirit brand names, labels, and images belong to their respective owners.
Disclaimer
Spirit pricing, availability, and product information are provided for reference only and may not be current. We do not guarantee the accuracy of spirit data, ratings, or recommendations. Liquor Vault is not affiliated with any spirit producer or retailer unless explicitly stated.
Limitation of Liability
Liquor Vault is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time, and any change takes effect as soon as it is posted on this page. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes, but you are responsible for reviewing the current version. Your continued use of Liquor Vault after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms, including the editorial use of public entries described above. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service and contact us to close your account.
